HOD system saves over 10% on Landcruiser

As part of our R&D program for the DieselMix-Gas HOD system we have done extensive testing of the performance of the HOD system on a 2006 Toyota Landcruiser. This vehicle has a 4.7l V8 engine and prior to installation of the HOD system, it ran on sequentially injected LPG and typically travelled about 550 km per week. It achieved a milage of 22.6 l/100km on average.

Since the installation of the HOD system (about 6 weeks ago) the car's milage has improved by about 18.3% to 18.9 l/100km which is saving this vehicle owner on average around $10 per week, close to 15% in fuel costs.

The DMG HOD system detects when the vehicle is running and the HHO generator operates to produce Hydrogen and Oxygen gas which is injected into the engine's air intake. The HHO gas assists normal fuel combustion and increases the engine efficiency, as a consequence less fuel is needed to travel the same distance and savigns are made. In the case of newer electronically controlled engines, (as is the case with the R&D vehicle,) an electronic control system interfaces with the OEM ECU and instructs it not to inject additional fuel when it detects the oxygen level rise in the engine intake.

During the R&D program, the DMG HOD system has consistantly saved almost 15% in fuel costs after installation in a new vehicle. Due to the success of the R&D program, we are almost ready to roll out our HOD system through our network of professional installers. The HOD system will also be available in kit form for diesel, petrol and LPG powered 4x4 owners. We are currently registering interest for the system.

We are also continuing our R&D of the HOD system to suit truck's and stationary engines. When more results are available from the R&D program, and extra news is available about the DMG HOD system, it will all be posted on the DMG news page. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have about the DMG HOD system.
