Barnacle Rid

The Barnacle Rid system prevents barnacle growth on the boat's submersed hull and parts.

A protective field is established which combats barnacle groth

Two electrodes are lowered into the water when your boat is not in use. The protective field is created between the electrodes by our sophisticated electronic controller. The field is wide enough to encompas your entire submerged hull if one of the electrodes is placed at each end of your boat (bow and stern). During a week's constant usage, the whole system consumes a maximum of only 1Ah.

Barnacle Rid in Action

When the Barnacle Rid system is used while the boat is not in use, the protective field that is established by the system prevents baranacles from growing on the submerged hull of your boat. See the photos below:

The left photo shows a boat who's underside has just been pressure cleaned - see the remains of the barnacles that previously grew on the rudder. The photo on the right shows the same boat after almost 4 months in the water. The boat hasn't been cleaned before this photo, no new barnacles have grown on the underside because the Barnacle Rid system was used when the boat was not in use. You can see, the underside looks cleaner after 4 months of Barnacle Rid usage than it did prior to Barnacle Rid.

The same boat is shown in the photo above - after Barnacle Rid usage. Notice the whole hull is free from barnacles. No cleaning was necessary.
